
On March 25, Ge Haijiao, Chairman of Bank of China Limited, met with Dame Susan Langley, Lady Mayor of the City of London at the Bank’s Head Office in Beijing. They held in-depth discussions on topics ranging from promoting the international use of RMB to strengthening cooperation in green finance and sustainable development, and providing comprehensive support for enterprises of the two countries.
Both sides agreed to work together more closely and across a broader range of areas in the future, setting a benchmark for China-UK financial cooperation and contributing to the long-term, stable comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
The City of London is recognized as a leading global financial center, houses hundreds of financial institutions, and has been playing an important role in enhancing international financial cooperation as well as China–UK bilateral economic and trade ties.
