
On May 19, Ge Haijiao, Chairman of Bank of China Limited, met with Loh Boon Chye, Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX Group), at the Bank’s Head Office in Beijing, and they jointly witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two sides. Huang Xueling, Executive Vice President of Bank of China Limited, also attended the event.
Both parties highlighted their strong foundation for cooperation in advancing regional capital market development and supporting cross-border investment and financing, as well as their complementary strengths in these areas. They agreed to work more closely together, leveraging Bank of China’s global network and diversified business platforms as well as SGX Group’s unique role as an international financial hub, to promote the international use of RMB, enhance capital market connectivity, and innovate financial service models, helping take China-Singapore financial cooperation to the next level.
