
On June 16, Ge Haijiao, Chairman of Bank of China Limited, met with Chia Der Jiun, Managing Director of Monetary Authority of Singapore, at the Bank’s Head Office in Beijing. They held in-depth discussions on supporting China-Singapore economic and trade ties, developing Singapore’s offshore RMB market and other topics. Huang Xueling, Executive Vice President of Bank of China Limited, also attended the meeting.
Both sides recognized that the 90th anniversary of the Bank’s operations in Singapore marked a new chapter in their partnership. Going forward, they will work more closely to promote the international use of RMB, enhance capital market connectivity, and innovate financial service models, helping move the financial cooperation between the two countries to the next level.
