Dear customers,
Thank you for your constant support to Bank of China. To provide you with better services, we plan to upgrade the system of individual firm offer foreign exchange trading (Forex Facility) and gold trade (Gold Facility) services as follows:
I. The Forex Facility and Gold Facility services will be suspended from 18:00, June 1 till 8:00, June 7, 2011 (Beijing Time) and will resume services after that. During the suspension period, customers can not process the Forex Facility and Gold Facility transactions. Orders made by customers before the suspension will become invalid. As quotations in international foreign exchange and gold markets are still available during the service suspension period, please adjust positions or take other proper risk prevention measures in advance.
II. After the system upgrade, some transaction functions of the bank's Forex Facility and Gold Facility services will change. Please read the following instructions in advance.
A. Forex Facility and Gold Facility both will provide 24/5 trading services on E-banking.
B. Validity period of an order is extended from an intraday time to seven natural days. Customers can set the validity time as: after 30 minutes following the current system time of the order and within seven natural days.
C. When processing the agency trading of Forex Facility or Gold Facility, the system will not freeze the funds entrusted by customers. If customers transfer or freeze the funds before agency trading, the order can not be executed as required. Therefore, please pay attention to the fund flow and account status.
D. The bank always provides the latest pricing in foreign exchange and gold markets When customers make spot transactions over the counter or through online banking, prices on the screen are the current market ones. After customers' confirmation of transactions, the price on the printed slip or the latest quotation retrieved by online banking will be the actual transaction one, which may be different from the one previously inquired.
