Dear customers,
To provide you with better financial products and services, we plan to upgrade the banking system in branches of Shanghai, Jiangsu and Suzhou (the three branches) in the coming days. During the system upgrade, services via Bank of China personal online banking, mobile banking and home banking will be unavailable. The details are listed below:
On June 3, 2011, individual customers will not be able to apply for personal online banking, mobile banking or home banking over the counters, nor will the registered customers be able to use the mentioned banking services.

Additionally, the above mentioned banking services will be adjusted as below:
1. Scheduled transactions concerning the three branches to be conducted on June 4 and 5 via online banking or mobile banking will not be handled then.
2. Domestic inter-bank remittance and inter-bank cash management
(1) Online banking will be unavailable to domestic inter-bank remittance transactions (including spot and scheduled transactions) with the amount below RMB 50,000 (inclusive) concerning accounts with the three branches from 15:00, June 3, 2011. And the services will be resumed at 18:00, June 6.
(2) Online banking will be unavailable to domestic inter-bank remittance transactions (including. spot and scheduled transactions) with the amount over RMB 50,000 (inclusive) concerning accounts with the three branches from 16:30, June 3, 2011, and be available at 8:30, June 7, 2011.
(3) Online banking will be unavailable to inter-bank cash management transactions concerning accounts with the three branches from 15:30, June 3, 2011, and be available at 16:00, June 6, 2011. Online banking will be unavailable to inter-bank cash management transactions concerning accounts with branches in Hebei, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Yunnan, Tibet, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Anhui, Henan, Hainan, Shandong, Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning, Zhejiang, Fujian and Ningbo from 19:00, June 3, 2011, and be available at 9:00, June 6, 2011;
3. Investment & wealth management transactions:
(1) Fund trading
Entry orders and fund information inquiry via online banking and mobile banking will be suspended for accounts with the three branches from 16:00, June 3 to 9:00, June 7.
(2) Small amount foreign exchange purchase and sale
Small amount foreign exchange purchase and sale via online banking will be suspended for accounts with the three branches from 17:00, June 3 to 9:00, June 6.
(3) Foreign exchange and gold trading
Foreign exchange and gold trading via online banking and mobile banking will be suspended for accounts with the three branches from 18:00, June 1 to 8:00, June 7. And the service will also be suspended for accounts with branches in Hebei, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Ningxia, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Tibet, Chongqing, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Anhui, Henan, Hainan, Shandong, Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning, Fujian and Ningbo from 16:00, June 3 to 9:00, June 6. So it is the same for accounts with branches in Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Guangdong and Shenzhen from 3:00, June 4 to 9:00, June 6.
(4) Bank of China Wealth Management Plan I
Bank of China Wealth Management Plan I via online banking and mobile banking will be suspended for accounts with the three branches from 16:00, June 3 to 8:30, June 7. And the service will also be unavailable for accounts with branches in Hebei, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Ningxia, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Tibet, Chongqing, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Anhui, Henan, Hainan, Shandong, Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning, Fujian, Ningbo, Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Guangdong and Shenzhen from 18:30, June 3 to 8:30, June 4 and 14:00, June 5 to 18:00, June 6.
After the system upgrade, risk assessment and e-signature for fund trading are added to personal online banking. Besides Symbian (V3 and V5) and iphone, the mobile banking's client software also supports Android and Ipad. New functions are added, including purchase of wealth management products, personal-to-corporate account transfer and download of the Fei Ju plug-in, facilitating customers to access financial information, financial calculator, weather forecast, group purchase and other services. In addition to inquiry of stock quotes and stock trading, the GPS location function is added for customers of the value-added version client software to search Bank of China outlets and select the most appropriate route in a self-service manner. Furthermore, after optimization against 3G network, WAP version mobile banking launches dazzling services, such as ten page skins available for download, allowing customers to enjoy unique experience. Such functions as transfer & remittance, credit cards, investment & wealth management and over-the-counter contracting are added to home banking and these services are also available in Hunan, Henan, Yunnan and Zhejiang.
We will try our best to shorten the period of service suspension. If the actual suspension period is shorter than the above mentioned period, your transactions via online banking shall be handled as normal and all relevant transactions herein shall be regarded as valid..
