Announcement on the System Upgrade for Forex/Gold Facility in Hunan, Guangxi and Hubei Branch

Dear customers,

Thank you for your constant support to Bank of China Hunan, Guangxi and Hubei Branch ("the bank"). To provide you with better services, we plan to upgrade the system for the individual firm offer forex/gold trading (Forex/Gold Facility) services. During the suspension period, the Forex/Gold Facility transactions will not be able to be processed. Entry orders made before the suspension will become invalid. As quotations in international foreign exchanges and gold markets are still available during the suspension period, please take proper risk prevention measures in advance based on the specific situation. The details are as follows:

1. Service suspension period

(1) Hunan and Guangxi Branch:

The Forex/Gold Facility services will be suspended from 18:00, July 19 till 9:00, July 25, 2011 (Beijing Time) and resume after that.

(2) Hubei Branch

The Forex/Gold Facility services will be suspended from 16:30, July 21 till 10:00, July 25, 2011 (Beijing Time) and resume after that.

2. After the system upgrade, some transaction functions of the bank's Forex/Gold Facility services will change. Please read the following instructions in advance.

(1) Forex/Gold Facility will both provide 24/5 trading services on e-Banking.

(2) Validity period of an entry order is extended from an intraday time to seven natural days. Customers can set the validity time as: after 30 minutes following the current system time of the order and within seven natural days.

(3) When processing a transaction order of Forex/Gold Facility, the system will not freeze the order funds in the customer's account. If the customer transfers or freezes funds before such an order is processed, the order will not be able to be processed as required. Therefore, please pay attention to the funds flow and account status.

(4) The system always provides the current quotation in foreign exchange and gold markets when customers make spot transactions over the counter or through online banking. After customers' confirmation of transactions, the price on the printed slip or the latest quotation retrieved by online banking will be the actual transaction one, which may be different from the one previously inquired about.
