Announcement on Arrangement of Bank of China Corporate Online Banking During the System Upgrading Period

Dear customers,

To provide you with better financial products and services, we plan to upgrade the banking system in Guangdong Branch and Shenzhen Branch (the two Branches) in the coming days. During the upgrading period, services via Bank of China corporate online banking will be unavailable. The details are as follows:

You will be unable to log on to the online banking from 19:00, September 11 to 09:00, September 12, 2011 (Beijing Time, the same below).

In addition, some services of Bank of China corporate online banking will be adjusted as follows:

1. Agency collection and payment: Online banking will be unavailable to agency collection and payment, electronic collection, business credit card repayment and other transactions submitted in batch from 12:00, September 8, 2011. Relevant transactions successfully submitted after that will be processed after 09:00, September 12, 2011.

2. Domestic inter-bank remittance and online banking inter-bank cash management (inter-bank superlink) services:

  • Online banking will be unavailable to domestic inter-bank remittance transactions (including spot and scheduled transactions) with the amount below RMB 50,000 (inclusive) concerning the accounts at the two Branches from 17:00, September 8, 2011, and be resumed from 12:00, September 12.
  • Online banking will be unavailable to domestic inter-bank remittance transactions (including spot and scheduled transactions) with the amount above RMB 50,000 concerning the accounts at the two Branches from 16:30, September 8, 2011, and be resumed from 12:00, September 13.
  • Online banking will be unavailable to domestic inter-bank remittance transactions (including spot and scheduled transactions) concerning the accounts at the branches of Hebei, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Ningxia, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Tibet, Chongqing, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Anhui, Henan, Hainan, Shandong, Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning, Fujian, Zhejiang, Ningbo, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Suzhou, Fujian, Zhejiang and Ningbo from 16:30, September 9, 2011, and be resumed from 09:00, September 13.
  • Online banking will be unavailable to inter-bank cash management (inter-bank superlink) transactions (including inter-bank account inquiry, inter-bank real-time transfer & remittance, and inter-bank contracting) concerning the accounts at the two Branches from 15:00, September 9, 2011, and be resumed from 12:00, September 12.

3. Intra-bank transfer services:

  • Online banking will be unavailable to intra-bank corporate-to-individual transfer services concerning the accounts at the two Branches from 17:00, September 8, 2011, and be resumed from 18:00, September 12.
  • Online banking will be unavailable to intra-bank corporate-to-corporate transfer services concerning the accounts at the two Branches from 16:30, September 9, 2011, and be resumed from 18:00, September 12.

4. Online customs declaration: Online customs declaration (guarantee for online duty payment) transactions submitted from 22:00, September 11 to 00:50, September 12, 2011 will be processed after 00:50, September 12.

5. Online order return: Bulk online order return transactions submitted by online payment merchants after 19:00, September 7, 2011 will be processed after 09:00, September 12.

6. Account inquiry: Online banking will be unavailable to historical transaction inquiry and transaction inquiry of contracted customers from 12:00, September 10, 2011, and be resumed from 09:00, September 12.

7. Electronic commercial draft: Online banking will be unavailable to registration of electronic commercial drafts from 20:00, September 9, 2011, and be resumed from 09:00, September 12.

We will try our best to shorten the period of service suspension. If the actual suspension period is shorter than the aforementioned period, the system will process your transactions as normal and all relevant transactions will be regarded as effective. Please accept our apology for any inconvenience caused by the system upgrading and thanks for your understanding.
