Announcement on Arrangement of Relevant Transactions During the System Upgrading Period

Dear customers,

To provide you with better financial products and services, we plan to upgrade the banking system in Guangdong Branch and Shenzhen Branch (the two Branches) in the coming days. During the upgrading period, services via Bank of China personal online banking, mobile banking and home banking will be unavailable. The details are as follows:

Customers of Bank of China personal online banking, mobile banking and home banking will be unable to log on to the online banking, mobile banking and home banking or use the online payment, mobile payment and TV payment services from 19:00, September 11 to 09:00, September 12, 2011 (Beijing Time, the same below);

Customers cannot conduct the online banking, mobile banking, home banking, online payment, mobile payment and TV payment transactions concerning the accounts at the two Branches from 18:00, September 9 to 18:00, September 12;

Scheduled transactions concerning the accounts at the two Branches to be conducted on September 10 or 11, 2011 via the online banking or mobile banking will not be handled then.

After upgrading, the transfer & remittance rates of the personal online banking and mobile banking of Bank of China Shenzhen Branch will adopt the national unified standards. Please refer to Bank of China's portal website for the specific rates, or inquire the actual charging standards when conducting transfer & remittance transactions.

In addition, the aforementioned banking services will be adjusted as follows:

1. Domestic inter-bank remittance and inter-bank cash management:

(1) Online banking will be unavailable to domestic inter-bank remittance transactions (including spot and scheduled transactions) with the amount below RMB 50,000 (inclusive) concerning the accounts at the two Branches from 17:00, September 8, 2011, and be resumed from 12:00, September 12.

(2) Online banking will be unavailable to domestic inter-bank remittance transactions (including spot and scheduled transactions) with the amount above RMB 50,000 concerning the accounts at the two Branches from 16:30, September 8, 2011, and be resumed from 12:00, September 13.

(3) Online banking will be unavailable to domestic inter-bank remittance transactions (including spot and scheduled transactions) with the amount above RMB 50,000 concerning the accounts at the branches of Hebei, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Ningxia, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Tibet, Chongqing, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Anhui, Henan, Hainan, Shandong, Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning, Fujian, Zhejiang, Ningbo, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Suzhou, Fujian, Zhejiang and Ningbo from 16:30, September 9, 2011, and be resumed from 09:00, September 13.

(4) Online banking will be unavailable to inter-bank cash management (inter-bank superlink) transactions (including management of accounts at other banks, management of Bank of China's accounts and inter-bank cash collection and payment) concerning the accounts at the two Branches from 15:00, September 9, 2011, and be resumed from 12:00, September 12.

2. Intra-bank transfer services:

(1) Online banking will be unavailable to intra-bank individual-to-individual transfer services concerning the accounts at Bank of China Guangdong Branch from 18:00, September 8, 2011, and be resumed from 18:00, September 12.

(2) Online banking will be unavailable to intra-bank individual-to-corporate transfer services concerning the accounts at the two Branches from 17:00, September 8, 2011, and be resumed from 18:00, September 12.

3. Investment & wealth management transactions:

(1) Fund trading:

Fund trading (including entry orders and fund information inquiry) via online banking and mobile banking will be suspended for the accounts at Bank of China Guangdong Branch from 08:00, September 8 to 12:00, September 12; Fund trading (including entry orders and fund information inquiry) via online banking and mobile banking will be suspended for the accounts at Bank of China Shenzhen Branch from 15:00, September 9 to 12:00, September 12.

(2) Small amount foreign exchange purchase and sale:

Small amount foreign exchange purchase and sale via online banking will be suspended for the accounts at the two Branches from 09:00, September 8 to 12:00, September 12; Small amount foreign exchange purchase and sale via online banking will be suspended for the accounts at the branches of Hebei, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Ningxia, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Tibet, Chongqing, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Anhui, Henan, Hainan, Shandong, Beijing, Tianjing, Liaoning, Fujian, Zhejiang, Ningbo, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Suzhou, Fujian, Zhejiang and Ningbo from 17:00, September 9 to 09:00, September 12.

(3) Foreign exchange and gold trading:

Foreign exchange and gold trading via online banking and mobile banking will be suspended for the accounts at the two Branches from 18:00, September 7 to 08:30, September 13.

(4) Book-entry T-bonds:

Book-entry T-bonds services via online banking and mobile banking will be suspended for the accounts at the two Branches from 17:00, September 6 to 09:00, September 13.

(5) Bank of China Wealth Management Plan I:

Bank of China Wealth Management Plan I via online banking and mobile banking will be suspended for the accounts at the two Branches from 09:00, September 7 to 18:00, September 12; Bank of China Wealth Management Plan I via online banking and mobile banking will be suspended for the accounts at the branches of Hebei, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Ningxia, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Tibet, Chongqing, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Anhui, Henan, Hainan, Shandong, Beijing, Tianjing, Liaoning, Fujian, Zhejiang, Ningbo, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Suzhou, Fujian, Zhejiang and Ningbo from 18:00, September 9 to 18:00, September 12.

We will try our best to shorten the period of service suspension. If the actual suspension period is shorter than the aforementioned period, the system will process your transactions as normal and all relevant transactions will be regarded as effective.
