Bank of China can issue letters of guarantee in the following categories:

1. Non-financing Letter of Guarantee

A non-financing letter of guarantee provides guarantee for non-financing payment obligations, including bid guarantees, performance guarantees, advance payment guarantees, tax guarantees, reservation/retention money guarantees, quality guarantees, maintenance guarantees, payment guarantees, operating lease guarantees, maritime guarantees, and other non-financing guarantees.

2. Financing Letter of Guarantee

A financing letter of guarantee provides assurance for financing payment obligations, including loan/overdraft guarantees, credit line guarantees, financing lease guarantees, securities guarantees, and other financing guarantees.
