Outward Remittance Financing
Under the outward remittance settlement method, Bank of China can, upon the importer's application and based on the valid vouchers and commercial documents provided, make advance payments abroad, thereby providing short-term financing to the importer.
Import Bill Advance
Under an import letter of credit (L/C) or import collection, Bank of China can, at the request of the L/C applicant or the payer under import collection, provide them with short-term financing to make external payments for the amount due under the documents.
Export Bill Advance / Discounting
Export Bill Advance refers to the short-term financing provided by Bank of China with recourse to the exporter, against the export documents submitted by the exporter after shipment, under a letter of credit or collection settlement method.
Forfaiting
Forfaiting is the without-recourse purchase by our bank of undue debt claims arising from transactions of goods, services or assets. Typically, such debt claims have been accepted, undertaken or guaranteed by a financial institution.
Risk Participation
Risk Participation is a business in which a risk-taking bank earns a return by assuming all or part of the credit risk of a debtor under trade finance or guarantees, which is sold by a risk-selling bank.
Domestic Letter of Credit
A Domestic Letter of Credit is a settlement method in which our bank, at the request of a buyer in domestic trade (within the Chinese mainland, excluding Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan), issues a written undertaking to the seller to make payment against documents that comply with the L/C terms. Multiple financing services can be structured under a domestic L/C based on the client's needs.
