Product Overview
Domestic RMB transfer and remittance refers to a settlement service in which individual customers instruct a domestic Bank of China branch to transfer a specified amount of RMB to a designated payee in the Chinese mainland.
Application Channels
The service is available at BOC branch counters and smart counters, or via the BOC mobile banking app, online banking, and ATMs.
Required Documents
When conducting a single RMB transfer or remittance of 50,000 yuan (about $7,030) or more (inclusive) at a BOC branch, customers must present their valid original identification documents.
Notes
When conducting transactions through channels such as the BOC mobile banking app, online banking, and ATMs, customers are required to comply with the respective channel's identity verification standards, transaction limit management rules, and timeliness requirements.
To prevent telecommunications fraud and protect the security of funds, BOC will verify large-value or suspicious over-the-counter transactions through multiple means. If BOC is unable to contact the customer for verification within a specified period, or if the verification fails, BOC will suspend the execution of the relevant transaction.
Customers must accurately provide true and valid remittance information, otherwise, they will be solely responsible for any resulting risks and losses, such as failed, delayed, or incorrect remittances.
