Bank of China's domestic foreign currency remittance service refers to fund transfers in foreign currencies made by individual customers to intra-bank or inter-bank accounts in the Chinese mainland.

Application Channels

The service is available at BOC branch counters.

Required Documents

For a remittance to an account under the customer's own name, the customer's valid identification documents are required. 

For a remittance between immediate family members, the customer's valid identification documents and related documents proving the immediate family relationship (e.g., the household register, marriage certificate, or birth certificate) are required. If such proving documents cannot be provided, the customer's letter of commitment confirming the immediate family relationship can be submitted as an alternative.
