Founded in 1955, the China National Peking Opera Company established its theater in 2007, naming it after Mei Lanfang, the company's first director and a renowned Peking Opera master.

Over the 70 years since its establishment, the China National Peking Opera Company has promoted outstanding traditional Chinese culture through Peking Opera performances, contributing to cultural exchanges and fostering friendships between China and other countries. On June 20, BOC and the China National Peking Opera Company signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on the preservation and promotion of Peking Opera. This partnership sets a new standard for cultural and financial cooperation.

Earlier this year, the bank became the exclusive sponsor of the performances commemorating the opera company's 70th anniversary.
