Bank of China has emerged as a pivotal force behind prominent marathon events across the nation this year, utilizing its comprehensive financial services and meticulous operational support to enhance the success of iconic races while promoting the national fitness initiative. 

From Wuhan to Beijing and Guangzhou, BOC’s involvement has been crucial in delivering seamless experiences for runners and strengthening the vibrancy of urban sports culture.

In March, the bank provided comprehensive financial and operational backing for the 2025 Wuhan Marathon. As a core supporter, it ensured the event’s success by handling fund settlement and management, offering tailored financial services for participants, and providing convenient on-site facilities. 

BOC’s end-to-end involvement was instrumental in the marathon event’s resounding success, underscoring its commitment to regional sports development.

In April, BOC stepped up its efforts as the official title sponsor of the 2025 Beijing Half Marathon, delivering robust support throughout the entire event. Beyond financial backing, BOC enhanced participants’ experience with exhibition booths, on-route supply stations, and race material distribution. 

On the race day, cheering stations along the course rallied runners, while a thoughtfully designed interactive service area at the finish line offered exclusive and caring services for finishers, adding warmth to the competitive atmosphere.

Aligning with the event’s theme “A Marathon for the People”, BOC launched a suite of supporting measures, providing comprehensive financial services to empower the national fitness movement and make the marathon accessible and enjoyable for all participants.

In Guangzhou, a city renowned for its dynamic sports culture, the Guangzhou Marathon has grown into a top-tier domestic and international event since its inception in 2012.

As the exclusive designated bank for the 2025 edition, BOC has spared no effort in delivering all-round support and guarantee. Its involvement injected significant momentum into the event, further boosting the vigorous development of the national fitness initiative in the region.

This year’s race route, starting from Tianhe Sports Center, allowed runners to enjoy the city’s stunning scenery and experience the “vitality of an ancient city embracing new developments”.
