As the exclusive strategic partner of the China International Import Expo, Bank of China, together with the China International Import Expo Bureau and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), hosted the eighth CIIE Trade and Investment Matchmaking Conference.

The event, a key component of the CIIE, took place in Shanghai on Nov 6. Zhang Hui, president of BOC, delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony.

This year's conference attracted nearly 1,000 exhibitors and approximately 3,000 buyers from 57 countries and regions, along with investment promotion agencies and industrial parks. Under the theme "Building a Collaborative and Win-win Marketplace to Support High-level Opening-up", the event aimed to boost innovation and efficiency in global matchmaking, trade negotiations, and financial services.

The conference included a variety of activities to promote trade and investment opportunities. These activities featured multiple rounds of one-on-one meetings between international exhibitors and domestic buyers, investment roadshows, industry presentations, and a variety of financing and industrial matchmaking activities. Additionally, a dedicated financial service zone was established to provide comprehensive support, including international settlement and product promotion, to attendees.

Themed tours focusing on cutting-edge fields such as high-end equipment and biotechnology were also organized. These tours, viewed from both industrial and financial perspectives, aim to promote a positive cycle of technology, industry, and finance.

With its extensive network spanning 64 countries and regions and its "one-point access, global response" financial service system, BOC has consistently supported global trade and economic development. Over the past seven years, the bank's global SME matchmaking system has facilitated about 5,300 cooperation intentions, with a total value exceeding $50 billion.
