The eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened in Shanghai on Nov 5. Bank of China President Zhang Hui, along with Vice-presidents Cai Zhao and Yang Jun, attended the opening ceremony.
As the exclusive strategic partner of the expo, BOC has supported the CIIE for eight years in a row. This year, BOC's involvement spans multiple areas, including investment introduction, forums, exhibitions, supporting events, and on-site services, providing comprehensive financial support throughout the event.

During the preparatory phase, BOC collaborated with the CIIE Bureau on 29 overseas promotional events and nine domestic investor roadshows. BOC served as the exclusive sponsor of the CIIE in Hubei investment promotion event and organized two pre-expo matchmaking sessions. Fifty days before the opening, BOC renewed its strategic cooperation agreement with the CIIE and launched a comprehensive financial service plan for the eighth expo.

At the expo, BOC organized a sub-forum of the Hongqiao International Economic Forum under the theme of "Financial Services Facilitating Global Economic and Trade Development". It also hosted business association matchmaking meetings, trade and investment matchmaking meetings, seminars designed for enterprises exploring markets overseas, and a consumption promotion signing ceremony.
Meanwhile, BOC introduced innovative products such as the BOC Global Payroll Solution at the expo. It played a key role in establishing the comprehensive service zone for the Country Pavilion and set up a dedicated cross-border e-commerce zone at the CIIE for the first time. Featured services were designed to improve the payment experience for international visitors and enhance public welfare.

BOC will continue to leverage its global presence and integrated strengths to foster the growth and innovation of the CIIE, contributing to the high-standard opening-up and shared global development.
