As a key bank in foreign trade financial services, Bank of China continues to refine its service models to provide cross-border settlement and financing support for private enterprises' global expansion.

Marine equipment manufacturer BOMESC Offshore Engineering Company has handled several major offshore oil and gas development equipment manufacturing projects. The Tianjin branch of BOC has provided the company with services including the issuance of guarantees, overseas receipts, and online foreign exchange settlement and sales. The branch has also customized financial market products, such as forwards and options, to effectively reduce foreign exchange risks.

Tianjin Oubaiwei Corp is the only private enterprise in China with experience in railway surveying, design, and general contracting for construction projects in both domestic and international markets. The company's overseas project will offer a comprehensive solution for the resource utilization of hazardous waste generated by Malaysia's petrochemical industry. BOC's Tianjin branch collaborated with its overseas branches to advance the project through export buyer's credit, and used BCIPS (BOC Cross-border Interbank Payment System) to facilitate efficient cross-border renminbi settlement for project payments, providing comprehensive support for the company's overseas expansion.

By the end of 2025, the Tianjin branch had provided over 56 billion yuan ($8.10 billion) in financial support to private enterprises and served more than 19,000 corporate clients.

BOC will continue to closely align with major national strategies, taking the financing features of private enterprises into consideration. BOC will offer global, integrated, and digitally intelligent solutions to steadily advance enterprises' cross-border expansion strategies and contribute more expertise and strength to the country's high-level opening-up.
