Bank of China hosted the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Industry GBIC Conference in Chongqing on June 9 — as part of its efforts to deepen industry-finance collaboration and to support business enterprises going global. The event saw the broad participation of officials from the municipal authorities and representatives of the Seres Group, a leading player in the NEV industry in Chongqing. As well, there were more than 100 executives from companies in the NEV industrial chain and experts in the sector — with discussions focused on the development trends in the NEV industry and the high-quality development of the sector.
As a major automotive industry hub in China, Chongqing is striving to establish itself as an intelligent connected NEV capital and is accelerating the construction of a world-class NEV industry cluster. During the event, BOC unveiled its "Entrepreneur Office" services for the NEV industrial chain and signed letters of intent on service cooperation with 12 entrepreneurs in Chongqing. Additionally, BOC and the Seres Group signed a global payroll service memorandum, and they jointly launched a special promotion for NEV consumption — further expanding financial services in the NEV industrial chain.
Currently, the integration of NEVs and intelligent connected technologies is rapidly advancing — reshaping the global automotive industry's competitive landscape. BOC is stepping up its efforts to address the financing, cross-border operations, risk management, and corporate governance needs being faced by China's automotive industry during its global development. Leveraging its GBIC platform to coordinate resources among government, industry, investment, and the consumption sectors, BOC has built a bridge for enterprise cooperation and exchanges. Moreover, BOC's "Entrepreneur Office" services foster a comprehensive service ecosystem covering individuals, families, enterprises, and society — achieving its "One-click Access, Global Connectivity" goal, and fully supporting Chinese automotive companies in developing their overseas markets.
BOC will continue to deepen the government-bank-enterprise collaboration, focusing on value creation within the NEV industrial chain, and meeting the service needs of entrepreneurs. It aims to continuously enhance its comprehensive financial service capabilities, contributing more financial support to the high-quality development of China's NEV industry.
