Ge Haijiao Attends Inaugural Meeting of China-Netherlands CEO Council

The Inaugural Meeting of the China-Netherlands CEO Council, jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, was held in Beijing on July 7. Ge Haijiao, chairman of Bank of China, attended the meeting and delivered a speech at a panel discussion themed connectivity, finance, and resilient value chains.

Minister of Commerce of China Wang Wentao, Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Sjoerd Sjoerdsma attended the meeting, along with representatives of over 30 enterprises from both countries.

Ge noted that as the first Chinese-funded bank to enter the Dutch market in 2007, BOC has grown into a core Chinese-funded banking partner for many leading Dutch enterprises. Moreover, BOC was willing to develop its green and technology finance services for Sino-Dutch industrial cooperation, helping both sides seize new development opportunities and further strengthening business ties.

As the Chinese-funded bank with the longest operating history in the Netherlands, BOC has the most comprehensive business coverage and the largest asset scale compared to its peers.

It has been providing specialized financial products and services targeting priority industries including advanced manufacturing, technological innovation, and sustainable development for long, in an effort to strengthen the Sino-Dutch trade and investment partnership.

BOC will take advantage of the meeting and work closely with all relevant parties to enhance exchanges between Chinese and Dutch businesses, supporting Dutch investments in China's vast market and steadily boosting China-Netherlands and China-Europe relations.
