Bank of China has been working to innovate its cross-border financial services to support Hubei province's foreign trade development, as it aligns its efforts with the country's broader opening-up drive and addresses the diverse financial needs of enterprises going global.

In 2025, Huaxin Building Materials Group Co Ltd completed the acquisition of a cement project in Nigeria. To help the company address complex cross-border approval procedures and exchange rate fluctuation risks, BOC introduced an innovative financing package. Drawing on products such as cross-border M&A financing and export credit, BOC has provided a range of financial support for the company.

BOC has also provided an integrated cross-border financial solution to Hubei Chuxiang Supply Chain Group Co Ltd, a leading bulk commodity trading company. Given the company's large transaction sizes and long transaction chains, the solution covers international letters of credit and cross-border remittance services throughout the transaction process, strengthening risk controls for both goods and capital flows. BOC also launched an innovative direct-crediting service for cross-border inward remittances, enabling the company's trade settlement funds to be credited within seconds.

The volume of international trade settlement at BOC Hubei Branch has surpassed USD 10 billion since the start of this year. By innovating financing models, enhancing settlement efficiency, upgrading individual products, and improving end-to-end services, BOC has been supporting enterprises going global with a range of cross-border financial services.
